Welcome to the NY Prime Timers web page!

The New York Prime Timers is a social group for mature (over 40) gay and bisexual men in the NY tri-state area and those that are attracted to them. We have monthly meetings at the LGBT Cener located at 208 W 13th Street, on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 2 PM. These may be purely social meet-and-greets or presentations by people of interest to the mature gay community. We also have lunches, dinners and outings to museums, plays and other activities of interest.

We can use volunteers

We are a volunteer run organization and are always looking for people who can help us out.

We primarily need volunteers to help us run our meetings. Our regular Refreshments Co-ordinator, Jimmy G., is off on an extended trip and we're having different volunteers help us with set up for the Center meeting for the next couple of months. I have someone for February and for March but could use someone for April and May. How about it, just requires stopping at the supermarket on the way to the meeting to pick up a few things and arriving at 1:30 pm to help set up. Contact Bob T at 212-699-2613 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you can help out.

We could also use some people to lead activites each month. This does not need to disrupt your normal routine... something you do regularly can be a Prime tmer activity.  If you go to a particular place every week for their great fish-fry, let us know and we'll publish it in out newsletter and a bunch of your fellow Prime Tmers can join you. Do you visit a museum you have  a membership at every month... we can let our membership know and you can lead a group ona cultrural adventure!

Newsflash

IMPORTANT DATE: For those of you that would like to attend this year's Oklahoma City Labor Day Get-A-Way, you MUST call the Habana Inn on Tuesday, March 1st to reserve your room. The rooms sell out the first day of registration (March 1st), often in the first few hours of being offered.

The phone number for the Habana Inn is 405-528-2221 and you may call starting at 9 am eastern time to make your reservations.

The Labor Day event runs from Thurs Sept 1st to Monday Sept 5th, but many attendees arrive a day or two early to mingle. Most people leave Monday and the place becomes virtually deserted after the event, so I'd book an extra day or so early and travel on after the event to maximize your potential to meet lots of people. Contact Bob Torres for registration forms for the actual event if you nned one.
